WHAT TO EXPECT
Because mental health affects our whole health
What to Expect and What Does Therapy Cost?
I get it, reaching out for counseling services can be very anxiety provoking. I would like to help you feel at ease about seeking services.
It’s not easy finding the right therapist, so remember to ask questions. It is okay to spend time talking to several therapists before you find the right fit for you. Ask about their specialties, what type of clients they are best suited for and their approach to therapy.
Therapy is a process, we have to allow time to build a trusting and supportive relationship so you can feel safe and supported through your journey. I feel it’s important to provide a lot of education to my clients so they understand about how their nervous system works and give them tools to help manage their stress response system.
Feel free to give me a call or complete the inquiry request form so I can better understand your needs and help you find the services you are looking for.

It is important that you understand your insurance benefits and out-of-pocket responsibilities. My billing department can help you confirm your plan’s eligibility and expected co-pays before services begin.
If you prefer to use an insurance not listed, I can accept full payment at the time of service and offer a receipt you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
If you don’t have insurance benefits (uninsured) or cannot afford your in-network mental health benefits (underinsured), please check out Open Path Collective. I do have limited slots available, so please feel free to bring this up during your initial consultation. If I am not able to accommodate you at the moment, I would be more than happy to refer you to other counseling services that might be a better fit for your budget.
I look forward to talking with you.

Good Faith Estimate:
Information for clients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance.Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act explains you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” that shows how much your medical and mental health care will cost you. As of January 1, 2022, health care providers are required to inform individuals, upon request or at time of scheduling services, of expected charges via a “Good Faith Estimate”.
Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy/counseling.- You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment and hospital fees.
- You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
- Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
